Union Jack Pubs are owned and operated by McDuff Development &
Management Inc., Rick Rising Moore CEO. Ever committed to
building and revitalizing neighborhoods and hosting visitors and
locals alike McDuff’s has built a reputation as a community
favorite since 1979.
History, as well as neighborhood development, is an important
aspect of Rising-Moore’s English and Irish style, Indianapolis
based pubs- as relayed in the profusion of memorabilia displayed
at each establishment and the choice to locate the restaurants in
various renowned historical districts across the city. Locally
owned and managed, each of Rising-Moore’s establishments is
unique to the conglomerate cookie-cutter style public restaurants.
The neighborhood pubs include: Union Jack Pub in Broad Ripple and
Speedway, Henry Grattan Irish Alehouse & Eatery in the heart of
Broad Ripple Village, the Aristocrat Pub & Restaurant in the
charming Meridian-Kessler district, and the Elbow Room a downtown
tradition since 1933 at Fort Wayne and Penn. Combined, the
establishments of McDuff Development & Management employ more than
360 individuals throughout the metropolitan area. Rising-Moore was
no stranger to the restaurant business upon starting “McDuff” as he
was also a partner and developer of several other restaurants through
the years including The Pawn Shop which he sold in 1977.
For many years people have considered us a leader in the
industry. Being the first restaurant in the city to serve
“Chicago” style pizza, we have continued as a trendsetter with
our “Around the World Passport Ale club”, offering more than 60
import beers. Indianapolis Monthly and Nuvo have recognized us
with several awards including Best Neighborhood Pub, Best Pizza,
Best Import Beers and Best New Restaurant.
In 2001, McDuff’s started the new Millenium, by revitalizing its
concept’s facilities, operational methods, menu offerings and
community involvement, strengthening it’s community commitment
for a new era.
Please be our guest and join us at your community’s favorite
neighborhood pub and eatery-UNION JACK.
